NEWS FOR USER: Note this when you use a big Online-Service like AOL - something goes
in another way when you publish Your Site. Especially for AOL Users: Servername is members.aol.com.
Startfolder is /aol-username. (Don’t forget the /.) As
Username you must set anonymous. Password is your AOL-Mail-Address.
VERSION 0.90a released! Now you needn't to login in the internet before publishing. UPSITE starts the Login-Software or launch a RAS-Connection you want. In progress: UPSITE Help Site. Integrated in the program: HTML-View in all dialogs. A really Online-Help on every step you go.

| Upsite is developed to upload sites effective. | |||
| Effective means, fast and uncomplicated – we say ‘clever’. Thus, Upsite is not to be seen as a common FTP-Client. This software is specialised, reduced to the true function. | |||
| Upsite is small and flexible | |||
| because it is coded in C++ and programming follows the PlugIn method: adjust Upsite as you really need it by choosing the right PlugIns. Unused components only slow down and can make the using difficult. | |||
| ‘Clever Update’ means, | |||
| that not the whole site must be uploaded every time when you only like to change something in your site (e.g. you have modified or add one page or graphic). The Publisher will act when files are new, modified or should be deleted. All other things will be a waste of time and money. And you do not have to care about it. That makes Upsite with its ‘Clever Update’. | |||
| Upsite compares your site local | |||
| on your desktop where Upsite is installed and on server where the site is published. The program shows you clearly arranged which files or directories (we call all simply ‘Entries’) should be added, changed or deleted because you have edited something in your site. | |||
